The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) documented a record 22 billion Dollar disasters in 2020, and 20 in 2021. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) specifically identifies the need for innovation here in goal 11; “Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.”
