Ejaad Gah, a project of Oxbridge Innovative Solutions, is a collaborative makerspace inside a school, library, or separate public/private facility for making, learning, exploring, and sharing that uses low to high-tech tools and is designed to challenge learners to create and learn through hands-on, personalised experiences.
In Pakistan, children often resort to rote learning and memorization to pass high stake exams. There is a need to develop the love of acquiring knowledge among young learners, and the only way to do so is to allow them to practically apply what they have formally learned in their classrooms.
This is vital for girls because societal limitations do not allow them to work freely on engineering tasks and activities as compared to boys. Utilizing playful, collaborative, and inquiry-based approaches to engage youth in STEM-rich learning fosters creativity and innovation.Therefore it is essential to set up Ejaad Gahs in schools for girls so they could apply their theoretical understanding of concepts to practical, real-world projects.
