I am a local watercolor and oil painter who has lived in Charlotte for many years. I have a studio at the Dilworth Artisan Station in Southend where I can network, learn from and just be around other creatives. I have been an artist my whole life, winning my first competition when I was 10 so making art has always been play for me. I am a local watercolor and oil painter who has lived in Charlotte for many years. I had a studio at the Dilworth Artisan Station for 2 years and made many interesting and valuable connections while there. I moved to my home studio in February 2023 while I am considering my next move.
I have been an artist my whole life, winning my first competition when I was 10 so making art has always been play for me. Coloring outside the lines, asking and seeing what will happen if I try this or that, allows me to stay childlike and wonder at a bumble bee drunk on the brilliant jasmine, see the colors in dark shadows against a brilliant sun and the way the light falls through the stained glass window creating a kaleidoscope across the floor.
