The Early On Michigan Foundation recognizes the significant investment in Early On in recent years.  It is imperative for our youngest citizens that we continue to see continued investment at least at the same pace, if not great.  Our ask for FY 24 is an investment of $42 million, an increase from FY 23 by $21 million.

Fiscal Year 23 sees an increase in funding for  Early On , to $21,250,000, up $7 million from last year.  This is significant and the result great bi-partisan leadership on behalf of Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Legislature.  While this is an important increase, the  Early On   Michigan Foundation acknowledges that we have a way to go to reach our estimated need of $68 million in school aid funding.

While there are Early On success stories, funding for Early On is not adequate to meet the needs of all eligible infants and toddlers and their families throughout Michigan.  You can help in any of the following ways:
