The Local Organizing Committee is excited to welcome you to Oslo for the 2023 European Association for the History of Medicine and Health meeting! The meeting is a joint effort of the Institute of Health and Society (HELSAM) at the University of Oslo (UiO) and the European Association for the History of Medicine and Health.
At the moment, it seems as though we are surrounded by an ever-escalating stream of crises. A new crisis begins before the last one has had a chance to resolve. This is both a frightening and a depressing experience. But crises are not only moments of disruption and despair, they are also moments of decisive change.
