Description: Durham Outlook for the Needy is a non-profit organization started in July 1990 by a group of dedicated Oshawa residents, striving to help those in need in the Durham Region. They chose the patronage and example of St. Vincent Pallotti (1795 to 1850) who dedicated his life to helping the poor and under privileged. DURHAM OUTLOOK FOR THE NEEDY invites you to sponsor our Hunger Drive Charity Golf Tournament being held August 24, 2023 at 4 SEASONS GOLF CLUB (Concession Road #9, Claremont, Ontario).
All monies raised will help to support Durham Outlook’s New Soup Kitchen at 227 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa.
Construction of the new facility is now complete; Durham Outlook served their first meal at the new facility March 10th 2022. We are currently raising funds to reduce the $650,000 mortgage required due to increased building expenses. The new fully accessible facility incorporates a beautiful modern kitchen, bright and spacious dining hall, food bank, thrift store and office/boardroom space.
