I am passionate about helping individuals and families who grapple with the impact of immigration, acculturation, oppression and the tension of navigating between conflicting cultures, values, worlds and systems. I am also particularly interested in helping clients explore their identity formation, sense of belonging, and issues related to transgenerational, familial, and cultural roots of trauma, and growth. In addition, I am an associate professor of clinical psychology and provides clinical presentations and trainings for various organizations. Lastly, all my professional endeavors are rooted in highlighting and integrating depth-oriented, relational, and social justice lens.
I graduated from Wellesley College with a double major in Psychology and Asian American Studies and received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. My vigorous clinical training included a predoctoral internship at California Pacific Medical Center, Adult and Child Outpatient clinic and a postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland, Department of Psychiatry.
