Samad Oraee was born in the bustling Iranian metropolis of Mashhad. Growing up, Samad excelled academically, played soccer, and enjoyed traveling the country with his family. At the young age of fifteen, however, he chose to purse the rest of the his studies internationally and arrived in the United States as a student. Once his undergraduate studies came to a close, Samad accepted an offer to study at UTESA Medical School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was here, in the DR, that Samad first experienced the joy of treating neurological and neurosurgical cases at the local public hospital. Upon earning his degree, Samad relocated to New York City.
