Professor Marilyn Fitzpatrick , Ph.D., is a counselling psychologist and the Program Director of the Counselling Psychology Program at McGill University . She is the co-Director, with Prof. Martin Drapeau, of the McGill Psychotherapy Process Research Group (MPPRG). She has done extensive research on the processes that underlie successful psychotherapy with particular attention to the therapeutic alliance and the experiential involvement of clients in sessions. Dr. Fitzpatrick is the co-founder of Medipsy , a Montreal based institute for the provision of psychological services . In this role, she is responsible for a group of experienced clinicians, including psychologists and neuropsychologists , who offer a range of evidence-based psychological services to the community. Medipsy also offers psychologists and other professionals certified continuing education workshops on scientifically sound treatments .
