The Rev. Dan Ruth is Lutheran Partner in Global Ministry ’s executive director and an ordained minister in the ELCA . His mission is to bring stories of LPGM ’s work with communities around the world back to U.S. Lutherans.
Dan is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he has a degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies. He holds a M.Div. from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2008, Dan was awarded the A.E. Hansen Prize for Homiletics by the Luther Seminary faculty.
Dan’s particular interest lies in how Lutherans in the U.S. are connected to people halfway around the world, and how the missio Dei (mission of God) calls the church to reach outside its own boundaries and walls.
