Description: WildWood Ranch is a sanctuary in Bluff Dale, Texas
sanctuary (400) lazy f ranch (2)
WildWood Ranch is a 750 acre spread which lies in the far western corner of Somervell county on County Road 1014. The ranch (formerly The Lazy F) was purchased in 1973 by Bill and Billie Farrar, Melissa’s parents. It became the family’s home away from home, where they raised horses, cattle, goats and a menagerie of exotic game.
With a 25 acre lake, 3 stock ponds, 140 acres of Coastal Bermuda fields, newly added horse barn and corrals – WildWood has been transformed into a self-sustaining environment where a menagerie of exotic animals, deer and other wildlife share woods, grasses and habitats, alongside the cattle and horse operations. As a longtime member of The Chalk Mountain Wildlife Management Association, the Auberty family is dedicated to sustaining woodlands and waterlands, native fields and cedar breaks that host a variet
