A producer and DJ, Beyun runs the Rotterdam-based label Vault Wax (distributed by Clone ), which grew out of a party series born in Boston.
Beyun's sonic wanderlust ventures beyond genres and borders—weaving elements of acid through electro, breaks, techno, and house with influences from Detroit, Chicago, New York City, and London—creating peaks of soulful euphoria and rhythmic emotional release.
Born in the Philippines to a German mother and Ukrainian-American father and given a Korean name, Beyun has difficulty calling one place home. Having lived in Davao, Khabarovsk, Seattle, Boston, and Atlanta, Beyun now finds herself in another port city: Rotterdam, Netherlands.
