DISSOLVE Magazine SF is an online publication focusing on arts criticism and discourse with the aim to foster the work of emerging writers, cultural theorists, and artists that are passionate about attending to the unseen and the unknown.
Dissolve is an art collective and curatorial project where art-making and looking are personal, performative, entangled, and unexpected.
From 2016-18, Dissolve produced a self-published digital arts publication, working with a collective of writers, curators, artists, and art thinkers. Although initially based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dissolve acknowledges that our communities shift conceptually and geographically. Over time, Dissolve began to engage both local and internationally-based contributors, producing work that is not only sourced from various geopolitical locales but often multilingual.
