Started in 2010 with Traverses , Eigenlicht has been a way to explore the Germany where I'm living, to appropriate the unknown and my own foreignness/strangeness, through the prism of places called "abandoned". Alone, I visited regularly each of preselected areas in Berlin and Brandenburg, to develop my relation to them, to witness the light's changes, the seasons' evolution, the human activity.
