The image shown is taken from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite using the Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC). The DSCOVR satellite orbits the sun at the Lagrange Point L1.
