Standing up for Animals
S ince 1983, the annual observance of World Day for Farmed Animals (WDFA) on October 2nd, in honor of Gandhi’s birthday, has offered people an opportunity to memorialize and mourn these innocent lives and an opportunity to educate their friends and family about the senseless atrocities they pay for at their supermarket checkout counter. Hundreds of groups and individuals throughout the world participate each year .
