Who to blame for then? The isolation and the concealment of the victim towards the problem is obviously a major setback. But the result of that makes everything worse: because we do not get directly aware of the problem we don't care about it. We enter in a vicious cycle that only magnifies the problem and creates an even larger gap between the victim and society.
So, in a way, we lack awareness and sensibility to understand the social dimension of the problem; on the other hand victims themselves do not have the urge to recognize the problem, report it and ask for help. In the end, what is needed the most is more social focus towards the problem from both parts: on one side stand those that are able to focus the problem; on the other side stand those who are part of the problem itself and that must show society the problem so they can get focused.
Eight hundred and fourteen were the number of stones that turned into pixels right on Passos Manuel Street between 15th and 17th of June. It all started in a pure madness and a lack of sense of time. The only time in mind was 15 seconds of advertising spot. And the rest of the time? It would go by himself just like we pass through streets.
