I understand that not getting your way in a world resistant to letting you live on your terms can be frustrating and maddening, but your never-ending calls for social justice and insistence that political truth can somehow be reconciled with reality wears thin on those with longer memories and greater cognitive powers. Before you equate this contention with arrogance, remember that the political brain can think back only as far as yesterday and remains cognitively hobbled by the most recent calls to action.
Hogarts Legacy is an outstanding videogame. Rihanna is an excellent singer. No matter how much political hatred you heap on either, your politics doesn’t diminish the target of your ire. Flail if you must. Stomp, rage, and demand justice from the heavens above. A year from now, none of this will matter to you. You’ll be reviving some Popeye’s Chick-Fil-A sandwich-styled furor instead. Nobody is ever satisfied in politics even when their day arrives. Why not enjoy yourselves instead?
