dashmesh.ca - Dashmesh Culture Centre - Selfless Service in Remembrance of God

Description: The Dashmesh Culture Centre was built in 1987 with the help of community members, the City of Calgary, and the Alberta government at the time. Since then, we have been guided by the vision from the Sikh community in the early 80’s to provide a cultural center for the community to gather and build a better future for new generations.

The DCC Food Bank was an initiative started by the youth at the beginning of the Covid 19 in April 2020. DCC has been serving langar (Hot Meals) for more than 20 years and due to there being a need in the community we felt we should expand the concept of langar (Hot Meals). Since then we have helped deliver over 27,000+ lbs of food to  those in need. The biggest support in running the DCC Food Bank has come from the community. The DCC Food Bank is completely run by donations from the community.

We encourage everyone to visit in person at 135 Martindale Blvd NE to receive our food security services. We are open 7 days a week, 12 PM to 4 PM.
