The Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project (CSIAP) is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture since 2019. The CSIAP is aiming at improving climate resilience of farmer families and productivity of irrigated agriculture in climatically vulnerable 11 districts in dry zone of Sri Lanka. This is a World Bank funded project costing US$ 125 million and the World Bank contribution is US$ 110 million. 1,700 minor/medium irrigation schemes will be rehabilitated to benefit over 60,000 farm families.
