The Canadian Research and Mapping Association (CRMA) is a not-for-profit organization specializing in digital preservation, collection management systems, and mapping military history. For the past three years our team has been using GIS to build groundbreaking content that is changing how the public interacts with history. Our Projects PROJECT'44 THE ROAD TO LIBERATION The Road to Liberation is an online web map which combines, Aerial imagery, war diaries, authentic maps allowing users explore the Normandy campaign like never before.
Beginning in 2019 this project was developed under a collaboration between the Library and Archives Canada, and the Canadian Research and Mapping Association.
