Welcome to a Rewarding Career in the Electrical Industry The Cedar Rapids Electrical JATC is a joint Labor-Management training program made up of the combined support of IBEW Local 405 and the Iowa Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.
In 1941, the IBEW and NECA established the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC) by developing standards that are used nationwide to train thousands of men and women for demanding and rewarding careers in the electrical industry.
Our electrical apprenticeship programs offer an individual the opportunity to "Earn While You Learn"- where you are paid to learn and gain work experience under the supervision of a qualified journeyperson.
