It’s international women’s Day and I felt inspired to write a thing or two about it. You get to a certain age when you’ve lived a bit, seen a bit & can reflect with the benefit of a few years behind you.
We were fortunate enough to grow up in a family where we were made to feel we could do anything.
We had our fair share of difficulties; sisters born very early at 28 weeks and who spent the first weeks of their life in incubators. One was able to come home eventually but the other had to stay much longer. She never gained the use of her legs but instead gained a strength of spirit you’d be hard pushed to ever match. But that’s her story to share not mine.
