Donauvillino Cotons are located in the small village of Uttenweiler in a South German region called Oberschwaben. Uttenweiler is about a one-hour drive northwards from Lake Constance, Austria and Switzerland. Uttenweiler is also close to the river Danube. Therefore, my kennel name is a composition of these facts: Donau is German for Danube and Villino is Italian for a small mansion or country house.
My kennel is registered with VDH/F.C.I. since November 2003 which means I have to respect the strict rules of these organizations to get their worldwide approved pedigrees.
