As of 4/15, the CDC changed its policy on death and case reporting. Previously, the CDC only recommended recording a COVID-19 death when the death was connected to a positive COVID-19 test. The newpolicy will count any death where the death certificate is marked as related to COVID-19, regardless of test result. A similar logic will apply to case counts going forward. Case count will include lab-tested positive cases along with cases presumed to be COVID-19. Several states' numbers will show a spike in case
