Raimondo, a 17-year-old boy left his hometown Smyrna in Turkey looking for better opportunities in the new world.
In 1918 he decided that Brazil was the best spot to have a fresh start. It took him only 15 years to become an expert on coffee, Brazil’s most important treasure. He’s hired by Fincoffee Company, where he gained experience in exporting green coffee. All his knowledge was passed on to his son Aron, whose entrepreneurship led to the acquisition in 1969 of the traditional Comexim, founded in 1960.
In 1991, the family’s third generation became part of the management team. Currently, the fourth generation is already working on a daily basis in the company, taking forward the work and the history initiated by young Raimondo in 1918.
