CS Mentorship Program for Girls
The CODE4her program was honored with 2021 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award from Insight Into Diversity Magazine.
CODE4her mentorship was started by Jadwiga Carlson and the BG Women in Computing (BGWIC) student organization under her direction. The program was initially funded by Google igniteCS . The IgniteCS supported groups of college and university students that wanted to make a difference in their local communities through CS mentorship. In addition, a generous donation from the Miller family allowed the program to begin in 2016 and continue to thrive.
