Urchin barrens have overtaken many once star-filled habitats amidst the ecological disruption, but there’s hope! This ochre sea star along with dozens more were recently spotted by Heal the Bay community scientists during a excursion to help researchers better understand the biodiversity of Malibu’s tidepools.
