July 9th Meret will premiere her new Solo called fragile as a special site specific version for the Festival Hinterhalt in Uster.
fragile is a piece about the theme of the fragility of skin, paper and body, transience and fragility. For quite some time Meret Schlegel has been preoccupied with the theme of skin: skin, envelope, demarcation. Skin, our largest organ, loses with time more and more of its elasticity. Skin becomes paper and at the same time more and more fragile and vulnerable. Both skin and paper hold traces of time, both are witnesses of transience.
With the solo fragile Meret Schlegel takes the audience on a journey through the traces of time in a site-specific version in the open air.
