Enhancing and restoring in-stream and riparian ecosystem biodiversity through nature based solutions which regenerate salmon spawning habitat, while addressing the flood protection requirements of the local community.
Located in the beautiful southern Okanagan Lake valley of British Columbia on the traditional, unceded and ancestral territories of the Syilx First Nations people, our current project involves the remediation of lower Chute Creek where it flows across the alluvial fan and enters into the Okanagan Lake. Ultimately, these waters flow into the Columbia River and northern Pacific Ocean.
