卷材糾偏控制系統是壹個閉環控制系統、控制器、傳感器、線性導向機構構成閉環控制的基本部分，首先糾偏傳感器探測卷材的邊緣或線條，讀出卷材的實際位置與設定位置的偏移量，並將偏移量轉換成與之成正比電信號，再將電信號送入控制器，信號經過控制器放大、校準後，輸出至線性驅動器，線性驅動器根據信號的大小，驅動糾偏導正機構，將卷材恢復至設定位置。現行驅動器的驅動信號只與卷材跑偏量成正比關系，這就使得對於各種不同的卷材、糾偏系統都能夠提供精確的控制。
