We study how anatomical variation drives physiological function, and how physiological function and stress tolerances determine broad scale patterns of ecology and distribution. We also have a strong research focus on the ecological and evolutionary processes that generate diversity in plant form and function. As a group of individuals, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity in the lab, classroom, campus, and beyond.
