I am a scientist who is interested in the dynamics of the Earth’s climate system. My research broadly focuses on understanding mechanisms of climate variability and change, as well as the predictability of future climate, across a range of timescales.
I studied for an undergraduate degree and a PhD at Imperial College London. I have since held postdoctoral research positions at Hokkaido University (in Japan) and the University of Oxford.
I am currently a Royal Society University Research Fellow based at the Department of Meteorology, University of Reading . I am also Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Royal Meteorological Society journal Atmospheric Science Letters .
