I am a political scientist specializing in comparative judicial politics and law & society, with a regional interest in East Asia. Trained as an interdisciplinary scholar, I received my Ph.D. in political science from the University of Toronto and an LL.M. from UC Berkeley. My research focuses on the politics of the legal profession in various power setting, particularly the role lawyers serve in transitional contexts.
