Description: Cheddar Walking promotes Cheddar as a walker-friendly destination with a selection of walks of varying types and lengths suitable for all.
Cheddar is world famous for its cheese and stunning gorge, but many visitors are unaware of the rich diversity of landscape and walking country we have here. Through the Walkers are Welcome scheme, Cheddar Walking promotes Cheddar as a walker-friendly destination offering a number of walking routes of varying grades, starting from the village centre. There are around a dozen Walkers are Welcome locations in the South West.
Cheddar Walking is supported by a wide range of local businesses offering everything from accommodation, food and drink, to outdoor equipment and lots more. These are businesses who offer facilities for walkers, whether it’s overnight bed and breakfast or just somewhere to charge your mobile device – visit our supporters page to find out more. Our supporters have the Walkers are Welcome sticker in their window – don’t forget to visit them when you are here!
