The Charlotte Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Association (d.b.a. The Charlotte Medical Society) was organized by Dr. Allen Wyche in 1900. Its founding member realized the importance of mutual support among minority health professionals in promoting excellence in health care for Charlotteans of color.
