Catoosa , a Cherokee word (Gha-too-see) meaning "a hill," is double-countied. Most of Catoosa is in Rogers County , but the southern part is in Wagoner County . Located in Green Country, northeast Oklahoma . Catoosa is just off Route 66, about 10 miles northeast of Tulsa. Catoosa became a cow town after the railroad came, in 1882.
