Castle Chorus was started in 2015 and is an Edinburgh based mixed voice community choir, and part of the Natural Voice Network .
Led by Caro Overy , we sing a big range of great songs without accompaniment, including some contemporary folk and some more traditional and roots type music, with a splash of jazz and some more experimental things too. From more traditional standards like Wild Mountain Thyme, to more mainstream gems from bands like Vampire Weekend and Fleet Foxes! And anything and everything in between...
We also collaborate with Edinburgh-based songwriters and musicians to perform beautiful new arrangements of fresh song s . We also sometimes compose our own songs to sing at choir, usually as a group, but individuals also do this too!
