I am a landscape photographer, with a deep love for the great lands of the American West. I like to think that decades of hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and traveling the deserts, mountains, and seashores of the West have instilled a special sense of place, detail, texture and color to my vision.
The goal of my work is to capture the subtle, the “sense”, the little things that define a place. The intimate as well as the grand are what inspire me. The sweep of red sandstone against a cobalt sky in northern Arizona. A miniature forest of mushrooms, moss, and leaves in the coastal mountains. The golden glow of a fall sunset along the Salmon River. Oases of flowing springs and glistening rocks in the Grand Canyon. Recently moved to the Bitterroot Valley of southwest Montana, I have just begun exploring
