This weekend, we are celebrating the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord. This Feast commemorates the exaltation of Christ into Heaven by His own power in the presence of His disciples, on the 40th day after His glorious Resurrection. We celebrate also Mother’s Day. The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven completes His earthly work of our redemption. For Him, it is “mission accomplished.” Today is, therefore, a happy day for believers.
