We have a proud history spanning over 110 years and a tradition of top quality, free flowing rugby. We welcome all Cardiff University students wishing to play. Traditionally this includes Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy and Nursing students, but all are welcome.
Currently we have two teams, competing regularly on Wednesday afternoons in the British Universities & Colleges Sports leagues. The first XV compete in Division 2 West and our second XV are playing in Division 3 West.
Medical school rugby is very important to us. As well as regular fixtures against United (London) Hospitals RFC, Toulouse Medics and Dublin Medical Schools, we compete in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) competition and are looking to continue our domination, already having an impressive 20 wins since the tournament began, 28 years ago. The second XV NAMS competition started in 2019 and since then, we have won 2 of the possible 3 titles. We are the only club to have secured the NAMS triple
