With consistent thermal winds, we regularly experience day after day of beautiful 20-25 knot winds from late morning to evening. These famous Squamish winds begin in early Spring (around the beginning of April) and end in late October with the best months being May to September.
Due to these consistent winds, most windsurfers here are able to get away with only a few kites in their quiver, often ranging from an 8-10m and 11-13m kites (depending on personal size, skill and riding style).
