Halifax Café Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, people meet to hear about the latest ideas in science and how it might affect their lives. It is also a forum for debating science issues and promoting public engagement with science. Typical audiences are not professional scientists, but people who are interested in science in general.
