CAABIC was created to address the disparity of representation of African American/Black (AA/B) in the Sign Language Interpreting Profession by providing mentoring, professional development opportunities, and cultivating a sense of community and belonging to elevate, empower, and equip AA/B interpreters in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
