Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
I hope anyone who has been in the Hall this year will have been aware that we have tried to do our bit for the environment with the change from our old inefficient and ineffective night storage heaters to modern air source heat pumps. We know they work well and that we now use 30% less energy. Against that is the rising cost of electricity and another hidden cost of going green. The equipment has to be serviced twice a year and the charge for that has rocketed 22% from our first service in January 2023 to
Charges. We have held charges unchanged since 2017 but we had to make some increases, as from 1 July 2022. The popular Child’s Party events are held at the same £40 for four hours.
