Two weeks ago, I stopped by the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank’s office to take a look at the newly transformed “lawn-to-meadow” native plant garden, an effort coordinated by Land Steward, Eliza Habagger, as part of The Salish Seeds Project ( https://sjclandbank.org/the-salish-seeds-project-bringing-back-island-wildflowers/ ). I plan to observe the patch of meadow throughout the season and record species I see visiting the native flowers. I’m hoping to put together a collection of photos with species identifications to be shared for others to reference.
