Building a Budget Neutral Astromech Droid
My goal was to document the entire build process of R2-T2. That did not exactly work out for me. One of the silver linings of the covid situation over the past year or so, is that I had more time at home and more time to devote to R2-T2. I am happy to say, he is 99%ish complete. There will always be things to add, fix, improve, etc, but I am considering most of the work done. He’s not perfect. There are blemishes, bad paint and rushed parts, but I am happy with him. As for right now, I am building GONKS! A regular sized gonk and a mini gonk. My goal is a super budget friendly gonk, made from mainly found and leftover parts. My goal is to keep each under $30. They will include lights (and POSSIBLY sounds) and also will hold chargers for T2’s batteries and maybe cell phones. These will be 100% custom and free from sticking to any “gonk standards” if there is such a thing. I just want to have fun with them. That’s it for now. I am going to add current pictures of T2 in th
