Brother Oliver is an award-winning band from Greenville, South Carolina. Known for their psychedelic / folk-rock stylings, they were one of the early pioneers of electrifying the mandolin through effects, and were on the leading edge of the brewery-boom music circuit.
Brother Oliver has shared the stage with iconic acts—The Steve Miller Band, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, SUSTO, of Montreal, and many more. The band has been critically acclaimed by major outlets such as HuffPost , American Songwriter , PopMatters —and their music has been featured in Film & TV soundtracks on HBO and PBS.
They were the winners of the inaugural ‘Artist of the Year’ award by the UMAs in 2019—which was the same year that August 30th was proclaimed as “Brother Oliver Day” by Mayor Knox in their home city of Greenville, South Carolina.
