Founded in 1951, the British-German Association is a British charity that promotes mutual understanding and friendship between the UK and Germany.

Forum and Events Forum and Events The BGA is the principal forum for public discussion of British-German issues in the UK. We organise an average of two events a month, both online and face-to-face. Membership of our “Youthbridge” programme is free for any secondary school teaching German, and currently attracts over 500 schools. Youthbridge schools receive free access to our online events, podcasts and newsletter. We provide advice on offering school trips and exchanges. We link schools to other relevant organisations such as the Goethe Institut and UK-German Connection. We work with leading educationalists and the DfE
