So wrote the Bristol Post of Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra. A flourishing and thriving amateur ensemble with a well-established reputation for excellence, the Orchestra's players share one important thing – a passion for music. We perform at least three concerts annually, principally at St. George's Bristol where we regularly attract large audiences. We also perform music for different occasions, such as the launch of Rogue 1, a Star Wars movie, in December 2016. Rehearsals are held on a Tuesday evening.
In 2021, the Orchestra was delighted to appoint Tim Harrison as its principal conductor after he had conducted us for a term as guest conductor. We look forward to many successful concerts under Tim's baton.
